NFIB Launches $200,000 Campaign in Support of Pat Toomey

Small business community rallies behind proven champion of working families, seeks to educate voters ahead of critical Senate election

Harrisburg, Pa. (OCTOBER 31, 2016)- The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) SAFE Trust launched a $200,000 radio advertising campaign to reelect Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) as part of a broader, $650,000 effort to elect small business champions in key 2016 Senate races.

“This is a crucially important race that could determine the balance of power in the Senate,” said NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan. “Senator Toomey, who comes from a small business family, has an outstanding voting record on the key issues facing small business owners and we need his leadership in the Senate.”

NFIB identifies the key issues facing small business owners for every session of Congress and then tracks the voting records of every incumbent. Sen. Toomey has earned a solid 83-percent score on the NFIB Voting Record in the 114th Congress.

The NFIB radio campaign highlights the importance of reelecting Sen. Toomey to defend against costly regulations that hurt our workers, families, and small business owners.

“Senator Toomey is a true friend to Pennsylvania small businesses,” said NFIB Pennsylvania Executive State Director Kevin Shivers.  “Every candidate claims to support small business, but Pat Toomey has the voting record to prove it. Pennsylvania small business owners know that it is vitally important to send Pat Toomey back to the Senate.”
