Passed comprehensive tax reform study

High taxes and a ridiculously complex tax code stand in the way of small business growth. NFIB/South Carolina lobbied successfully for comprehensive tax reform study legislation intended to ease the burden on small businesses and makes it easier for them not only to grow but also to create jobs and help lead the state out of recession.

 

Prevented general tax increases

In spite of several lawmakers wishes to continue to expand government spending during these difficult economic times, NFIB successfully lobbied to prevent the passage of any general tax increases on small businesses this year.
