NFIB Members Visit the White House to Speak with President Obama

A diverse contingent of NFIB members gathered at the White House on Oct. 29 to hear President Obama deliver remarks on healthcare reform, the economy and its effects on small business. Accompanied by NFIB President and CEO, Dan Danner, these 17 members served as the nation’s Main Street representatives during a time where many small businesses are struggling and worried about the policies coming out of Washington, D.C.

Among the group were NFIB members representing seven states and a dozen industries ranging from office supplies to propane delivery. Some members were able to talk with the president one-on-one and share their concerns on a number of issues, including tax policy and the administration’s recent attempt to increase SBA loans. But the most important issue of the day was healthcare reform and its effect on small business.

Please read Dan Danner’s statement regarding President Obama’s remarks.
