McDonnell Visits NFIB Members on Statewide Tour

NFIB/Virginia member Thomas Johnson talks with gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell in Lynchburg.
Bob McDonnell plans to visit with NFIB members as part of his “New Jobs, New Virginia” tour. NFIB has endorsed McDonnell for governor.
The election is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
As the pro-small business candidate in this year’s gubernatorial election, McDonnell recognizes the importance small business plays in the economy and that entrepreneurs will be the group to lead Virginia out of the current economic downturn.
McDonnell recently toured member business Thomas A. Johnson Furniture Co. in Lynchburg, where he spoke with owner Thomas Johnson.
McDonnell also plans to visit Flowers and Gifts Too! in Arlington and Doumar’s Cones and Barbeque in Norfolk, both NFIB member businesses.
McDonnell is touting his tour as a way to discuss his plan for small business with business leaders. He stresses his commitment to keeping taxes low, getting spending under control, and keeping regulations and litigation to a minimum as some of the ways his administration will help support a strong and vibrant small-business community in Virginia.
