NFIB is recruiting Leadership Council members for Washington state
The purpose of NFIB’s state Leadership Council is to help determine guidelines for future action within the framework of the NFIB mission statement and to mandate policies for the entire membership. The Leadership Council also deals directly with NFIB staff.
Leadership Council members serve on the following Action Teams of their choice:
•Transportation Team
•Healthcare Team
•Taxes & Spending Team
•Employment Team
•Natural Resources & Property Rights Team
Duties and expectations of Leadership Council members include:
•Be available to testify in your state capitol during the legislative session
•Write, sign, and submit letters to the editor and guest editorials
•Be available to talk to the media
•Provide real-life examples of the effects a policy will have on their business
•Provide timely input/feedback to the state director on issues that arise in the Legislature
***NFIB Staff will provide talking points, briefing information, and draft guest editorials and letters as needed. All requests will be directed by the appropriate NFIB staff member.
