Oregon small business owners are against a proposed law that would create a new payroll deduction to fund a mandated paid family leave program, according to a poll released today by their leading representative group. Each year, the National Federation of Independent Business/Oregon polls its small-business members on the issues vital to their survival as entrepreneurs. The organization has more than 7,000 members in Oregon and releases the results of its survey after a 5 percent or greater initial return.
The National Federation of Independent Business Young Entrepreneur Foundation has announced the Oregon recipients of the sixth annual NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards, a scholarship program designed to reward and encourage entrepreneurial talents among high school students.
