In the 2010 General Assembly, we will:
Fight mandates that drive up the cost of healthcare
We will continue to oppose efforts to require small businesses to cover additional conditions and treatments. Such mandates may be well intentioned, but they drive up the cost of health insurance and make it harder for small employers to afford even basic medical coverage.
Oppose any attempts to raise taxes on small business
We promise to fight efforts to raise taxes on small businesses. Higher taxes leave small businesses with less money to grow their businesses and create jobs.
Provide relief from multiple local payroll tax filings
We’re working to pass legislation allowing employers to pay local payroll and business taxes online, eliminating the need to fill out and submit duplicate paper forms and saving employers hundreds or thousands of dollars a year.
