  • Challenges Facing NFIB/Missouri
    Malpractice Caps
    Two years ago, the Missouri Supreme court threw out Missouri’s non-economic caps for malpractice cases. The result of that action will eventually mean higher malpractice insurance premiums for doctors and an overall increase in the cost of health care. The other result will be doctors leaving Missouri for other states who have lower insurance costs. NFIB will be working with a coalition of business and health care concerns to reinstate the caps.

    Minimum Wage
    A couple of bills were introduced last session that would raise the minimum wage over $10.00 in Missouri.
