Workers' Compensation - Alabama

NFIB is working with AlaCOMP, a Alabama workers' compensation self-insurance fund that allows qualified employers of three or more employees the opportunity to control workers' compensation costs through group self-funding.
Proven history of performance
Since 1992, AlaCOMP has provided a safe, reliable and competitive workers' compensation market for members of its partnering associations. As an added bonus, eligible members have the opportunity to earn dividends in return for providing a safe workplace.
NFIB members and AlaCOMP
Through group self-funding, NFIB members participating in the AlaCOMP program own and control their own workers' compensation program. AlaCOMP insures workers who may get injured on the job and handles their medical costs, wage replacement and rehabilitation in order for them to get back on the job. AlaCOMP also provides client education on how to prevent accidents from occurring. Below are just a few of the benefits offered through the program:
- Stringent loss-control programs with added emphasis on drug-free programs and OSHA compliance.
- 5% premium discount for qualified employers for implementing a drug-free program.
- Loss-control personnel working on safety programs designed to prevent accidents from occurring.
- Medical claims cost controlled through a network of statewide preferred provider organizations available to each member.
- Claims data information provided to the employer to keep abreast of the cost and progress of the claim.
These are just a few of the efforts AlaCOMP makes to assist your business in controlling the cost of your workers' compensation. *Dividends cannot be guaranteed and are subject to declaration by the AlaCOMP Board of Trustees. AlaCOMP is a self-insured workers' compensation program subject to the laws of Alabama including joint and several liability.
