Defeated a 55% increase in the Employer Assessment

Date: June 04, 2015

The EA was first imposed to fund subsidies for Catamount Health (CHP), which was eventually repealed, lawmakers used some of the $18 million raised via the EA to “fill the $3M budget gap”. The EA increases annually based on the percentage that premiums increase. The current rate is $140.84 per Full-Time Employee. NFIB supports complete repeal of the EA.
