Governor Brown signed a $10 per hour
minimum wage hike in September that will increase wages by two dollars over the
next year and a half.  NFIB helped stop
another effort to increase the minimum wage yet again to $13/hour with an
annual cost of living adjustment. The increase would have cost another
$6,900/employee over the previous increase, totaling $11,500 in new costs per
minimum wage employee.
