Washington, D.C. (April 3, 2017) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) issued the following statement today on behalf of President and CEO Juanita Duggan in response to the Senate Judiciary Committee’s vote to approve Judge Neil Gorsuch for the United States Supreme Court:
“The Supreme Court is the last line of defense against the runaway regulatory bureaucracy. Every small business owner has a stake in Judge Gorsuch’s confirmation. He is a fair, thoughtful judge who respects the separation of powers and who is skeptical of letting regulatory agencies interpret the laws in ways that expand their power.
“We would like to thank the members of the Judiciary Committee for approving Judge Gorsuch’s nomination, and we strongly urge bipartisan support in the Senate.”
