Washington, D.C. (August 9, 2016) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading representative of small business owners, is endorsing Trey Hollingsworth for Indiana’s 9th Congressional District. Hollingsworth’s commitment to issues that small business owners care about makes him an ideal candidate for Congress.
“Trey Hollingsworth would be a strong voice for small business in Washington,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “As someone who runs a manufacturing business, he understands how the federal government makes it hard to succeed. We need him in Congress fighting for lower taxes and less red tape.”
“Every hour and every dollar a small business owner spends trying to navigate federal regulations and a complicated tax code takes away from employees, our community, and the ability to expand a business,” said Hollingsworth. “Washington may not get that, but, as a business owner, I understand it firsthand. I am truly honored that fellow business owners and the NFIB see my experience as what Washington needs right now, and I am grateful to have their support for my campaign.”
Hollingsworth’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in Indiana’s 9th Congressional District will work hard to send Trey Hollingsworth to Congress.
