Congressman Gets High Marks from the National Federation of Independent Business
Washington, D.C. (October 20, 2016) – The National Federation of
Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading representative of small
business owners, is endorsing Rep. Sanford
Bishop (GA-02) for re-election. Bishop has a strong record of supporting
legislation that would help small businesses and should be returned to the U.S.
House of Representatives.
“Sanford Bishop stood up for small businesses
in Georgia and deserves to be re-elected,” said NFIB National Political
Director Sharon Sussin. “This past Congress, Bishop cast critical votes to
reduce the regulatory burden, repeal the Estate Tax, and free businesses to
help their employees purchase insurance. Small business owners appreciate his
support and we’re pleased to endorse him to return to the U.S. House.”
“I am honored to be recognized by NFIB for my
hard work on behalf of small business,” said Bishop. “Small businesses are the
backbone of our economy, and if reelected to serve the voters of Georgia’s 2nd
Congressional District, I will continue to give small business owners and their
employees the room and resources to prosper.”
Bishop qualified for an endorsement from the
NFIB by achieving a high rating on votes scored in the current Congress. The
