Washington, D.C. (August 25, 2016) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading representative of small business owners, is endorsing John Faso for New York’s 19th Congressional District. Faso’s commitment to issues that small business owners care about makes him an ideal candidate for Congress.

“John Faso will be a strong voice for small business in Washington,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “Small business owners are struggling with high taxes, excessive regulation, and a tough economy. Faso knows that the federal government is making it hard to be successful and knows that small businesses need to be freed if we want them to grow and create jobs.”

“In the State Assembly, John Faso was a great defender of small businesses,” said NFIB/New York State Director Mike Durant. “For many businesses Upstate, the recession never really ended, but the federal government demands more in taxes and regulatory costs. Faso would go to Washington to end that and help build a stronger economy in our state.”

Faso’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee.  Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities.  NFIB members in New York’s 19th Congressional District will work hard to send John Faso to Congress.
