Washington, DC (October 19, 2016) – The National Federation of
Independent Business (NFIB)
, the nation’s leading advocate for small business
owners, today endorsed Sen. Johnny
Isakson (R-GA)
for re-election.

“Georgia small businesses have a great friend
and advocate in Sen. Johnny Isakson,” said NFIB President and CEO Juanita
Duggan
. “In a long career spanning the Senate and House, he has voted with
small business owners 100 percent of the time. He stands up for small business
owners, who need relief from red tape and high taxes. They need him back in the
Senate next year continuing the good work.”

“In Congress, I
have always fought against burdensome government regulations to help create a
level playing field for small and family-owned businesses in Georgia,” said Isakson. “As
a businessman, I know that our free enterprise system provides opportunity for
hardworking Americans, and I am proud to have earned the endorsement of
the National Federation of Independent Business.”

Isakson qualified for an endorsement from the
NFIB by achieving a high rating on votes scored in the current Congress. The
Senator has voted with NFIB on all six votes monitored by the NFIB this
Congress. The list of scored votes is available here.

“Georgia’s small businesses are proud of
Senator Isakson’s strong record of standing up for them and fighting to help
them grow their businesses,” said NFIB/Georgia
State Director Nathan Humphrey
. “Small businesses and their employees
know they can count on Senator Isakson and his 100 percent lifetime NFIB voting
record is proof of that.”

Isakson’s endorsement today comes from
the NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee.  Small
business owners vote in high percentages, and they are influential in their
communities.
