Washington, DC (August 31, 2016) – The National Federation of
Independent Business (NFIB)
, the nation’s leading advocate for small
business owners, today endorsed Sen.
Chuck Grassley (R-IA)
for re-election.

“Senator Grassley has been a great friend to
small businesses and deserves to be re-elected,” said NFIB CEO and President
Juanita Duggan
. “He’s well respected on both sides of the aisle.  He’s a man of deep principle.  He’s accessible and attentive to the concerns
of Iowa small businesses.  And as a
national leader, he understands the central importance of small business as the
engine of the US economy.”

Grassley qualified for his endorsement based
on his votes on the issues most important to small business owners. On the six
key issues in this Congress, he voted with NFIB’s position every time, earning
a score of 100 percent on the NFIB Voting Record.

“Iowa small business owners face a unique
set of challenges compared to other states in our great nation,” said NFIB/Iowa State Director Kristin Failor.
“Knowing that Senator Grassley is fighting for us in Washington, DC, brings a
tremendous sense of confidence, and our members are strongly committed to his
reelection.”

Grassley’s
endorsement today comes from the NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political
action committee.  Small business owners vote in high percentages and they
are influential in their communities.
