Washington,
D.C. (November 8, 2016)
– The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), America’s
leading small business advocate, issued the following statements in response to
the re-election of Sen. Ron Johnson:

“On behalf of the National Federation of
Independent Business and its members in Wisconsin, I would like to congratulate
Senator Ron Johnson on his re-election,” said NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan. “We are proud to count him
as one of our members and to endorse him based on a strong record of support
for small business.  In Wisconsin, nearly
98 percent of all employers are small businesses and they employ over half of
all workers in the state. NFIB is ready to work with him on policies that will
make small businesses stronger, create more jobs in Wisconsin and across the
U.S., and make our entire nation more prosperous.”

“Wisconsin small business owners are grateful
to see that Senator Ron Johnson will be headed back to the Senate next year,”
said NFIB/Wisconsin State Director Bill
Smith
.  “As a businessman himself, he
has always understood the challenges that face our members. We are looking
forward to working with him in his second term.”
