Washington,
D.C. (November 8, 2016)
– The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), America’s
leading small business advocate, issued the following statements in response to
the election of Senator-elect Todd Young to the U.S. Senate:

“On behalf of the National Federation of
Independent Business and its members in Indiana, I would like to congratulate Senator-elect
Todd Young on his election to the Senate,” said NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan. “We were proud to endorse
Senator-elect Young based on his strong record of support for small business. In
Indiana, more than 97 percent of employers are small businesses and they employ
half of the state’s workers. NFIB is ready to work with him on policies that
will make small businesses stronger, create more jobs in Indiana and across the
U.S., and make our entire nation more prosperous.”

“On behalf of the nearly 14,000 Indiana
small business members of the NFIB, we congratulate Todd Young on his decisive
victory in the race for the US Senate,” said NFIB/Indiana State Director
Barbara Quandt Underwood
.  “Congressman Young is a true champion of small businesses and the jobs
they create.  He has earned a 100 percent
small business voting record each term since elected to Congress.  Small business has no greater supporter than
Todd Young and we look forward to what he will accomplish in the Senate.”
