Attendees thanked administration for including small business in federal tax reform proposal
NFIB’s National Board Member, Douglass Henry of Henry Molded Products in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and NFIB PA Executive State Director, Kevin Shivers, were present during President Trump’s recent visit to the Ames manufacturing facility in Harrisburg. The two were among a small group of business owners and association leaders invited to that April 29th event, which took place just prior to a rally at the Farm Show Complex highlighting President Trumps first 100 days in office.
During the event at Ames, which manufactures garden tools, Henry and Shivers spoke with White House Chief of Staff Reince Preibus and the President’s Counselor Kellyanne Conway. They had the opportunity to thank the administration for including small business in the President’s business tax relief proposal. President Trump’s plan would not only reduce the tax rate to 15 percent for C-corporations, but also for pass-through companies, including LLCs, S-Corps, and Partnerships. NFIB is fighting for small businesses to be included in federal tax reform, making clear that small business creates more than half of all jobs, generates more than half of GDP, and is a major force in the U.S. economy.
