Small-Business Owner Lipps Endorsed by NFIB for Ohio House Seat

Date: January 27, 2016

The political action committee of the National Federation of Independent Business/Ohio, the state’s leading small business association representing 25,000 entrepreneurs, is proud to announce its endorsement of Scott Lipps who is seeking election to Ohio’s 62nd House District seat.
Lipps is a small-business owner and is a longtime member of NFIB.  His platform of job creation and lower taxes is embraced by Ohio’s entrepreneurs and is in line with surveying conducted by NFIB of small-business owners throughout the state. He currently participates in local NFIB meetings in Southwest Ohio, serves on the NFIB/Ohio Leadership Council and has represented the organization at both the state and federal level, meeting with legislators and testifying before committee.

“Scott Lipps has been approved through NFIB/Ohio’s member-driven process that thoroughly reviews candidates’ records, stated positions and understanding of small-business issues before an endorsement is issued,” said Roger R. Geiger, Vice President and Executive Director of NFIB/Ohio. “I have personally known Scott for almost 20 years through his strong service in our organization. Scott clearly understands those issues that are important to Ohio’s small-business owners because he lives them every day as a local business owner. We truly believe he will become a strong small business voice in the Ohio legislature.”
“As a small business owner, I understand the importance of Ohio’s entrepreneurs to our state and local economies. Small businesses are job creators and the “Fabric of their community.” I want to thank NFIB and my fellow members for standing with me in my efforts to bring 26 years of business experience to the Ohio General Assembly. As a member of NFIB for 21 years, I am honored to have the NFIB endorsement and look forward to the opportunity to work with them to fulfill their mission to promote and protect the rights of Ohioans to own, operate and grow their businesses,” said Lipps.
