Indianapolis (April 24, 2014) – The National
Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) today announced its support for
the reelection of Congresswoman Susan
Brooks in the 5th Congressional
“Indiana small business
owners couldn’t ask for a more reliable ally in Washington and we are very
proud to support Susan Brooks for
reelection,” said NFIB/Indiana State
Director Barbara Quandt.
NFIB is the country’s
leading advocate for small business owners representing roughly 15,000 members in Indiana. The group endorses candidates based on their
voting record on key issues identified by its members such as health care,
taxes, labor and regulatory issues. NFIB
tracks the votes of every member of Congress and Brooks earned a perfect 100
percent to date in the 113th Congress.
“On every one of the key NFIB
issues this Congress, Susan Brooks stood
by Indiana small businesses,” said
Quandt. “She’s been an extremely
important voice in Washington for small business owners and our members are
very enthusiastic about her campaign for reelection.”
was made by the NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action
committee. Surveys show that small
business owners are influential in their communities and NFIB members in Indiana’s 5th Congressional
District will work hard this year to send Susan Brooks back to Washington.
