Ask Your PA Lawmaker to Stop Workers' Comp Rates from Rising

Date: September 29, 2017

Prevent premiums from going up double-digits

In June, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court threw out a portion of the state’s workers’ compensation law that has helped to keep benefit and medical costs stable for over 20 years.

Already, the Pennsylvania Compensation Ratings Bureau (PCRB) has notified the state Insurance Commissioner that it expects the ruling to raise workers’ compensation costs by at least 6-percent. Experts predict that could translate to double-digit premium increases.

NFIB is urging lawmakers to act quickly to fix the law and repair the damage done by the activist court.  Please write your state lawmakers and ask that they vote YES on House Bill 1840 to quickly resolve this problem.
