Seeing a flurry of tax notices from PA Dept. of Revenue?

Date: September 28, 2017

We need to hear from Accountants, CPAs, Tax Preparers, and small businesses

NFIB Pennsylvania’s staff have been receiving calls in recent months from tax professionals explaining that their clients are receiving an inordinate number of tax notices demanding documentation from the PA Department of Revenue.  We have also heard from business owners getting overdue notices for rather insignificant amounts of tax due from previous years. Have you or your clients been experiencing something similar? If so, we want to hear about it!

We are working to find out why this may be happening and address the problem.  If we can gather your stories regarding a flurry of dunning notices, unusual audits, or requests for small payments from years past, we can better understand the scope and nature of this activity. Be assured, if you do help advise us so we can be better advocates on your behalf, we will not identify the businesses involved without express permission.

Please email Suzanne Stoltenberg, NFIB PA Communications Director, if you have had such an experience or represent tax clients with such issues.  [email protected]
