NFIB recently hosted Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb’s annual Small Business Day event at the Oklahoma State Capitol. Lamb
Lamb thanked NFIB for helping organize the event. “Working with small business all across our 77 counties, I learned very early on that NFIB is a very integral part of advocating on behalf of small business but also standing up and pushing back on legislation that could possibly harm small business.”
Speakers included House Speaker Charles McCall. “I want you to know how important it is to the Legislature that we foster the right environment for small business in the state of Oklahoma,” he said. “We know that it’s small business and economic development … that drives prosperity and opportunity.”

Senate President Mike Schultz also spoke, thanking small-business owners for coming to the State Capitol and urging them to meet with their local legislators. “Spend a little time with us today telling us what you do every day, because it is important. You are the backbone of this state’s economy … and without small businesses, we’re done, we’re out.”
