COLUMBUS, June
24, 2014 –
The political action committee
of the National Federation of Independent Business/Ohio, the state’s leading small business
association
serving over 25,000 members, today
announced its endorsement of Justice Sharon Kennedy and Justice Judith French,
who are seeking election to the Ohio Supreme Court.

In
determining the endorsement, NFIB/Ohio thoroughly vetted candidates by a member-driven
process that included a fax survey of NFIB small business members and personal
interviews with candidates conducted by members of NFIB/Ohio. In both instances,
French and Kennedy came out the clear winners in the eyes of Ohio small-business
owners.

“Ohio
small-business owners are aided in their ability to grow and thrive when there
is a sense of predictability and stability, and that is no different when it
applies to our judicial climate. Ohio currently enjoys one that is steady,
temperate and fair,” said Roger R. Geiger, Vice President/Executive Director of
NFIB/Ohio. “Justices Kennedy and French are models of judicial restraint. They
approach their roles on the court with professionalism and understand the
importance of judicial stability to our state’s economy.”
