The North Carolina office of the National Federation of Independent Business, the Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce, and the Small Business Center at Mayland Community College will host a small-business roundtable with Lt. Gov. Dan Forest in Spruce Pine on Wednesday, Aug. 31. The event is open to the media.
“The lieutenant governor won’t be giving a speech,” said Gregg Thompson, state director of NFIB/North Carolina, the state’s leading small-business association. “He’s coming to talk to small-business owners from around the region about the issues affecting them and what they’d like to see come out of Raleigh in 2017.”
