WASHINGTON, D.C., June 2, 2016 – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading advocate for small-business owners, today endorsed Rep. Joe Heck (NV-03) for election to the U.S. Senate. The endorsement came at a campaign event in Henderson, Nev.
“Small-business owners want to see Dr. Joe Heck serving in the Senate next year,” said NFIB CEO and President Juanita Duggan. “As someone who ran a small business, he understands the struggle to deal with high taxes and excessive regulations. In his years in the House, he has voted with NFIB every time. He’s the strongest candidate in the field and will be a reliable vote for sensible economic policies.”

“Earning the endorsement of NFIB means a lot to me,” said Dr. Heck. “As someone who owned and operated a small business, I know the risks required to create jobs and the challenges faced to make payroll. I also know what it’s like to deal with disastrous regulations from Washington that prevent business growth and keep wages down. That’s why I focus on supporting and introducing legislation to foster an economy where private sector companies hire and expand, so all Nevadans have opportunities for good-paying, full-time jobs.”
