The Montana Legislature’s Economic Affairs Interim Committee (EAIC) has created a task force of stakeholders and legislators to discuss restructuring the Montana State Fund workers’ compensation program. The Work Group is scheduled to meet on December 18.

A key topic of discussion will be the pros and cons of transitioning the Montana State Fund from a state agency overseen by the Legislature to a private insurance company regulated by the Montana Commissioner of Insurance.
The EAIC’s consideration of restructuring is detailed in its work plan, which can be found on Pages 8 and 9 by clicking the graphic to the left.

NFIB/Montana will be at the table on December 18 for the discussions.
