NFIB to Lawmakers: Helping Boeing is One Thing, But Don't Forget Small Business

JEFFERSON CITY, Dec. 6, 2013–Brad Jones, state director of the National Federation of Independent Business, has released the following statement in response to passage of Senate Bill 1, which is aimed at helping land the Boeing 777X project in the St. Louis area:
“NFIB is pleased that the Legislature has taken swift and decisive action to bring these jobs to Missouri. We are hopeful that the governor and lawmakers will be just as diligent and committed to passing comprehensive tax relief for Missouri’s small businesses when they return to the Capitol in January. Small business, after all, is Missouri’s No. 1 job creator.”
NFIB/Missouri is the state’s leading small-business association, with about 9,000 member firms representign a cross section of the state’s economy.
