The National Federation of Independent Business, Missouri’s leading small-business association, said today that Nancy Good will chair its state Leadership Council. Good, who owns TTP Investments in Joplin, has been a member of NFIB since 1976 and served on the LC since 2004.
She succeeds Mike King, who is retiring as chairman but will continue to serve on the Leadership Council.
Dave Griggs, owner of Dave Griggs Flooring America in Columbia, was named vice chair. Griggs has been a member of NFIB since 1991 and served on the LC since 1993.
The NFIB/Missouri Leadership Council assists in developing the association’s statewide agenda and building strategies to support small business throughout the state. Leadership Council members are nominated by either NFIB’s state director or current members and elected by the council.
“The people who serve on our Leadership Council not only advise NFIB on key issues but also are strong advocates for small businesses, telling our story to state and federal lawmakers,” said Brad Jones, state director of NFIB/Missouri.
“Over the years, Nancy and Dave have consistently gone above and beyond when it comes to advocating on behalf of Missouri’s small, family businesses,” Jones said. “They’re passionate when it comes to creating a level playing field for small business, and we’re glad they agreed to play an even larger role by serving as leaders of the LC.”
NFIB/Missouri is the state’s largest small-business association with 8,700 dues-paying members representing a cross section of the state’s economy.
