SMALL BUSINESS APPLAUDS RIGHT TO WORK SENATE PASSAGE

CONCORD (January 19, 2017): In response to the Senate’s
passage of the right to work bill today, the following statement may be
attributed to National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) New Hampshire
State Director, Bruce Berke:

We applaud today’s action by the Senate to make New
Hampshire one step closer to becoming a right to work state. The small business
community strongly supports this bill and thanks the Senators that voted in
favor of it for having the foresight and understanding required to help the
bill become law.

New Hampshire has the potential to become the first
right-to-work state in New England. It will no doubt increase our competition
with neighboring state’s and improve our jobs market. Allowing employees to
determine whether or not they wish to belong to a union will go a long way to
not only attracting new businesses but to helping existing business achieve
economic growth.
