U.S. Rep. Don Bacon thanks Bob Hallstrom for penning guest editorial in the Omaha World-Herald
“Repeal of Obamacare should not be a partisan issue,” wrote NFIB/Nebraska State Director Bob Hallstrom in a July 7 guest editorial for the Omaha World-Herald. “It can’t be if Nebraska is to see any relief from the punishing effects it has had on health coverage for thousands of small-business employees.”
Hallstrom urged Sens. Deb Fischer’s and Ben Sasse’s support for the Better Care and Reconciliation Act, which “would provide massive tax relief by eliminating or delaying 11 of the most burdensome Obamacare taxes, which are crushing small businesses and driving up costs. It also would eliminate the devastating individual and employer mandate penalties that discourage job creation, expansion, and investment.”
In a phone call to Kevin Kuhlman, NFIB’s director of government relations, U.S. Rep. Don Bacon expressed his gratitude for Hallstrom’s editorial showing “whole lots of our community and businesses hurting under the ACA [Obamacare].”
