Business Leaders Converge on State Capitol

Date: October 26, 2015

When it came time to assemble a group of business leaders to give a visiting Maria Contreras-Sweet, administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration, an accurate accounting of the health of Hawaii’s economy, U.S. Rep. Mark Takai made one of his first calls to NFIB/Hawaii State Director Melissa Pavlicek, asking her to be a co-convener of the gathering.
Pavlicek asked members of the NFIB/Hawaii Leadership Council to join her and helped with inviting other business leaders. “It was a very productive meeting,” said Pavlicek, “providing a lot of valuable information for Administrator Contreras-Sweet to take back with her to Washington, D.C.” The meeting was held October 14 at the State Capitol.
