Rep. Karen Mathiak of the 73rd District has been recognized as a 5-year member of the National Federation of Independent Business, Georgia’s leading small-business association. Rep. Mathiak, who owns Mathiak Chiropractic Center in Griffin, has been a member of NFIB since 2012.
“Small business is the engine that drives Georgia’s economy, and, as a small-business owner, Rep. Mathiak understands that,” said Nathan Humphrey, state director of NFIB. “It’s refreshing to have small-business owners serving in the legislature that understand the issues affecting them, their employees, and their families.”
Rep. Mathiak brings a wealth of knowledge to the legislature with her small business background and experience. She has been a strong voice supporting the small-business community by opposing burdensome rules and regulations and supporting legislation that makes it easier for small-business owners to expand and create jobs.
“On behalf of our small-business members, I want to thank Rep. Mathiak for everything she has done in the General Assembly and for being a member of NFIB.”
