Nearly 100% of NFIB/Michigan SAFE Trust Endorsed Candidates Win!

Date: November 11, 2016

Election 2016 will go down in the books as a great one for
small business in Michigan! Almost all of the NFIB/Michigan SAFE (Save American
Free Enterprise) supported candidates won their elections.

  • On the Congressional side, NFIB SAFE Trust Endorsed
Congressional Candidates all won!  This includes the hotly contested 1st
Congressional District (Jack Bergman) and 7th Congressional District
    (Tim Walberg).
  •  For Michigan Supreme Court, NFIB/MI SAFE Trust
Endorsed Justices David Viviano and Joan Larsen both won.
  •  All of the NFIB/MI SAFE Trust supported
candidates won and pro-small business lawmakers have a solid 63 seat majority.
  •  NFIB/MI SAFE Trust endorsed in 59 races and 58
of those candidates won their election.

As current House Speaker Kevin Cotter is term limited, the
House has already chosen Representative Tom Leonard – a staunch supporter of
small business – to be Speaker for the 2017-18 Legislative session.
