Business Groups Endorse Floyd Rayburn for NY SD-54

Date: August 17, 2016

Associated Builders & Contractors, Empire
State Chapter and the National Federation of Independent Business today
announced their support for the candidacy of Floyd Rayburn. Rayburn is running
in a Republican Primary for the State Senate seat being vacated by retiring
Senator Michael Nozzolio.

Associated Builders & Contractors, Empire
State Chapter President Brian Sampson said, “As a small business owner, Floyd
Rayburn knows what it takes to actually create jobs-because he’s done it. He
knows what it’s like to sign the front of the check, not the back of it. He’s a
proven leader who isn’t afraid to defend his business or his employees against
laws and regulations that strangle New York companies. Our industry, and
businesses in general, need a champion is Albany that will fight for them
regardless of the obstacle or the politics.  The taxpayers need Floyd
Rayburn in the New York State Senate.”

“Simply put, Albany desperately needs
experienced small business owners in the legislature,” said Mike Durant,
NFIBNY State Director.  “Floyd understands the complex issues facing
employers, because he faces these hurdles every day.  He will fight to
reduce taxes and reform our onerous regulatory climate and he is the only
choice in this race for small business.”

Rayburn said, “I am pleased to have the
endorsement of ABC and NFIB, two organizations representing hundreds of
thousands of small businesses and millions of employees across the state.
I know first-hand how over burdensome regulations and government
interference are a killer to jobs for you and your family.  As a
businessman and political outsider I will put job creation and lower taxes
ahead of the agenda of Albany insiders.  I will stand up to Albany
corruption and will answer only to the people.”

The 54th Senate District
encompasses the Finger Lakes and includes all or parts of the following
Counties: Ontario, Wayne, Cayuga, Tompkins, Seneca and Monroe. The Republican Primary
takes place on Tuesday, September 13th
