The Assembly has passed legislation, supported by NFIB, that will invest $15.5 million to expand broadband services to underserved areas of Wisconsin.
Representative James Edming, an NFIB member from Glen Flora, was a leading supporter of Assembly Bill 123, because “no matter where I go around the 87th District, one of the issues I hear about most is the need for improved high-speed Internet access. The lack of high-speed Internet access in rural Wisconsin not only affects the people in those areas, but the State of Wisconsin as a whole by limited economic growth.”
AB 123 won approval in the Assembly 98-0, and now moves to the Senate for further consideration, where a similar bill has already received approval.
