Join us for a roundtable luncheon with Lt. Gov. Dan Forest.
What’s Next for Small Business in North Carolina?
On Feb. 9, NFIB is hosting a roundtable luncheon focused on the state of small business in North Carolina. Lieutenant Governor Dan Forest will be participating in the discussion, and all small business owners in Nash and Edgecombe counties are urged to attend.
“If you’re a small business owner in the Rocky Mount area and have any concerns about what is going on at the state level as far as taxes, proposals, mandates, regulations, then this meeting is important to come to,” Gregg Thompson, NFIB’s North Carolina state director, told the Rocky Mount Telegram. “This is a good opportunity for people who have ideas they want to share with a state elected official, who can take those ideas back to Raleigh and use those proposed changes to help small business owners.”
Thompson told the Telegram that the Affordable Care Act, access to capital, taxes, regulations and minimum wage increase proposals are typically the main issues that are discussed at these meetings.
