In a win for Florida small business owners, Governor Rick Scott in May signed a $91 million package of tax cuts into law.
NFIB had fought for the tax cuts, two-thirds of which include a business rent tax reduction for small business owners. NFIB Executive Director Bill Herrle said the tax cuts were a “significant show of support for small business.”
“Gov. Scott has long been a proponent of reducing the unfair business rent tax, and we applaud him for his work to push this over the finish line and put money back into the hands of business owners and their employees,” Here said in a statement.
