NFIB/Tennessee: How You Voted on Your Member Ballot

Date: January 17, 2017

Brown: As a result of your feedback, NFIB will engage the legislature as it conducts a mandatory review of occupational licensing in Tennessee.

Hello, NFIB Member!

Earlier this month, NFIB released results from our 2017 Tennessee Member Ballot. Thanks to all who filled out and returned! Please read this important press release with detailed results:

As a result of your feedback, NFIB will engage the legislature as it conducts a mandatory review of occupational licensing in Tennessee, as required by the 2016 Right to Earn a Living Act. We do not expect to introduce proposals until after the legislature finishes its review in 2018.

It is important to note NFIB is not advocating for specific solutions at this juncture on any occupational licensing reforms. We would like to hear from you this year with your thoughts of the ongoing review – what you believe should be modified or repealed, as well as what rules you believe must be retained to protect the public.

Best wishes for a prosperous 2017! Let us hear from you!

Jim Brown
