When it comes to their state government, Florida small business owners are among the nation’s luckiest.
That’s according to a new report released by U.S. News and World Reports, which evaluates states on seven categories and 68 different metrics, ranging from economy to government.
Florida ranked No. 9 nationwide, earning high marks for its “government budget balancing” (No. 7); “pension fund liability” (No. 9); and overall “fiscal stability” (No. 10.).
Overall, Indiana ranked No. 1. as the best state for government. New Jersey ranked No. 50.
