Make your voice heard! Small business owners and friends of the small business community are invited to join us on Monday February 27th as we meet to discuss the issues being considered in Annapolis that will impact you. Now more than ever, it’s important that small businesses are educated on the push for mandated paid leave in Maryland and take action. We have a great lineup of speakers and will host a reception with MD legislators following the speaking portion of the program.
Speakers:
- Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford
- Delegate Warren Miller
- Maryland Chamber of Commerce President Christine Ross
- Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation Deputy Commissioner Steven Lakin will talk about what the department can offer small businesses and staff from the department will be on hand to answer your questions
- NIFB’s Steve Keen will give a federal update – There has been a lot going on in Washington since President Trump took office, we’ll give you a quick and easy to understand update at Small Business Day. NFIB Federal Lobbyist Steve Keen spends most of his days on Capital Hill working on your behalf, he’ll give you his insider knowledge on what you can expect to see in the coming months.
- Get an update on the 2017 Maryland legislative session and the push for mandated paid leave from NFIB State Director, Mike O’Halloran

This is also a great opportunity for your organization to make its voice heard or for your company to reach our members.
Aside from thanking our event sponsors at the event and noting your sponsorship, we offer additional benefits based on your sponsorship level. Last year we had around 120+ attendees at Small Business Day in Annapolis and your support will be seen by thousands of Maryland’s Small Business owners, even those that do not attend the event.
