Obamacare Costing Jobs and Higher Premiums

In sharp contrast to an event held at the White House the day before, Colorado Rep. Scott Tipton received some honest answers from real small-business owners on the impact Obamacare.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, “The White House still refuses to reveal the names of the 18 people who stood behind President Obama on Tuesday at the kickoff of a weeks-long campaign to promote Obamacare. In his remarks that day, the president said the people on stage with him represented Americans ‘all across the country whose lives have been changed for the better by the Affordable Care Act.’ But when asked who the people were and what their stories were, White House officials declined to provide the information.”

Not so questionable were the small-business owners testifying at a hearing of the House Committee on Small Business the next day, December 4, titled “The Health Care Law: The Effect of the Business Aggregation Rules on Small Employers”

With calm and respectful inquisitiveness, Colorado Rep. Scott Tipton, a fellow small-business owner, was able to find, for the record, what many have experienced directly with Obamacare: It’s costing jobs, people in rural communities especially are paying more for health care, and it’s a huge administrative problem for everyone.

NFIB/Colorado urges its members to watch the 5:34-minute video and thanks Congressman Tipton for his skillful way of cutting right to the truth.
