NFIB Unveils 2016 “California: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly”
Annual list of bills includes top legislative priorities for NFIB California
SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 20, 2016 – At their annual Day at the Capitol lobby trip yesterday in Sacramento, NFIB formally released their top legislative priorities for 2016, known as “California: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly”. Bills included in this list represent those which will have the greatest impact, either negative or positive, to our 22,000 small businesses across California.
“NFIB remains the leading voice of small business under the Capitol dome because we proactively monitor and advocate for policies to reduce the crippling cost of doing business in California,” commented NFIB/CA State Executive Director Tom Scott. “While our lobbying efforts extend far beyond the bills listed in The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly, these select legislative priorities represent the pulse of significant proposals in the Capitol which have a major impact on small business.”
Currently, the list includes 36 bills total; 13 good, 7 bad, and 16 ugly. This list reflects proposals from the 2015-2016 legislative session, and as new bills are introduced or morphed into substantively new bills, this list will be updated.
