When it comes to efficiency, California’s government is about as bad as you thought.
According to a new report from U.S. News and World Reports, California has the nation’s 44th best government. The survey ranks states on seven major categories, ranging from fiscal stability to state integrity metrics.
California ranks No. 43 for fiscal stability; No. 11 for government digitalization; No. 50 for budget transparency and No. 2 for state integrity.
Nationwide, Indiana ranked No. 1 and New Jersey ranked No. 50.
