Assemblywoman Shannon Grove Named Guardian of Small Business
NFIB presents pro-small business Legislators with its most prestigious award
SACRAMENTO, Calif., October 10, 2016 – Today, the National Federation of Independent Business/California, the leading voice of small business in California, announced it awarded Assemblywoman Shannon Grove with its highest honor, the Guardian of Small Business Award for her unwavering support of California small business owners in the state legislature.
“Assemblywoman Shannon Grove has been one of the most reliable, passionate advocates for small business during her six-year tenure in the California State Assembly,” said Tom Scott, NFIB/CA State Executive Director. “While many legislators occasionally receive a 100% NFIB voting record, Shannon has voted with small business 100% of the time every single year she’s been in the Legislature. We are proud of her perfect record of voting for small business and are pleased to present her with our highest honor, the Guardian of Small Business Award.”
The Guardian of Small Business is NFIB’s most prestigious award. It is reserved for lawmakers who vote consistently with NFIB on the key issues identified by small business owners. NFIB tracks the votes of every member of the legislature and publishes an annual Voting Record.
For more than 70 years, the National Federation of Independent Business has been the Voice of Small Business, taking the message from Main Street to the halls of Congress and all 50 state legislatures.
