Gov. Asa Hutchinson was the keynote speaker at this year’s NFIB/Arkansas Small Business Day at the Capitol, held on Thursday, March 20.
“I want to personally thank you for the voice that you represent for small business,” the governor told about 25 NFIB members gathered in a meeting room in the Victory Building, near the Capitol.
Hutchinson assured NFIB members that State Director Sylvester Smith was doing a good job on their behalf.
“Clearly, he articulates a conservative vision of government, growth of business, understanding how regulations can hurt small business, and, obviously, he’s one that’s highly respected in the halls of the General Assembly and in the Capitol.”
Hutchinson said he’s committed building the state economy by helping small business. “I want to grow the private sector of our economy versus the government sector of our economy.”
