It was a packed house on July 9 for NFIB/Arizona’s monthly Small Business Forum, and the air was thick with the mutual thanks NFIB members had for the visiting legislators who stood up  for small business during the last session, and with lawmakers for the people who employ the majority of working Arizonans.
As with all forums, NFIB/Arizona State Director Farrell Quinlan provided the latest update from the State Capitol, and for this forum in particular, NFIB Senior Media Managers Michelle Orrock and Tony Malandra gave a presentation titled Campaigning for the Small Business Vote: A Primer for Candidates and NFIB Members.
NFIB was proud to honor Heather and Jim Beito with our 2014 Champion of Small Business Award for the volunteer contribution of Insearch Corporation, especially in its support of the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation that awards college scholarships to graduating high school seniors entering their freshman year who are also running their own small business.
Also honored were the lawmakers who showed up at NFIB’s invitation to claim their Senator of the Year (Gail Griffin, Steve Yarbrough), Representative of the Year (J.D. Mesnard, Justin Olson) and Guardian of Small Business awards. Flanking some of the recipients in the photos below are NFIB/Arizona Leadership Council Chairman Mark Giebelhaus, left, and Quinlan, right.
