Say No to Mandated Out-of-Network Healthcare Coverage

Date: March 25, 2014

Help keep health insurance affordable for your business and your employees

NFIB members repeatedly have
identified rising costs of health insurance as among the most serious problems
facing small businesses. Now lawmakers in New York State are strongly considering including in the state budget a proposal that would mandate insurers to offer out-of-network healthcare coverage.

NFIB/NY and its partners including Unshackle Upstate and the New York State Business Council have opposed out-of-network healthcare coverage. In fact, opposing this mandate has been on the Small Business Day agenda for the past four years. It is critical that the business community continues to unite and say NO to yet another mandate from Albany that will drive up costs.
